For some individuals undergoing substance abuse and/or behavioral health treatment, round-the-clock care might not be necessary, but they still need convenient access to specialists and clinical services. Partial hospitalization services bridge the gap between an Intensive Outpatient Program and Residential or Inpatient care by offering on-site access to medical and psychiatric care.
Typically, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) requires clients to spend at least 20 hours per week on-site. The consistency in care and access to providers in these programs are especially beneficial for individuals transitioning from a higher level of care, like residential treatment.
CAN’s PHP offers 20 hours of group and 1 hour of individual counseling per week. Treatment typically lasts two weeks to 30 days, but duration varies with individual needs and participation.
Our PHP groups meet for four hours each day, five days per week. Group sessions are currently offered in the mornings on Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. In addition, each participant must attend at least one individual session weekly. Weekly family sessions are also recommended.
