Men's Residential Treatment Program

Residential Treatment is a structured, 24-hour level of care that enables an individual to focus on intensive recovery activities. Treatment occurs in a nonhospital, licensed residential facility as well as at our headquarters at 401 W. Texas Ave., and includes safe housing, and a 24-hour recovery environment. 

The goal of Residential Treatment is to help people with substance use disorders and other behavioral health disorders become stable in their recovery before engaging in outpatient settings and before returning to an unsupervised environment, which may be a hindrance to their recovery process. 

CAN's facility is a 16 bed home for adult males age 18 years and older who have substance abuse and/or behavioral health issues (dual diagnosis). ​

Additionally, we include the following for each participant in the program:

1. Steps to rational thinking
2. Training in self-care
3. Developing self-esteem
4. Learning the importance of community and being a positive contributor to it
5. Understanding the futility and self-defeating nature of substance dependence
6. Understanding proper and functional family dynamics
7. Training in socially appropriate behavior
8. Developing individuality and a sense of uniqueness

​The Men’s Residential Treatment Program is intensive; it is time-limited and highly directed and our overriding goal is to give each participant the full range of coping skills to maximize personal effectiveness and reduce the risk of relapse to the absolute minimum possible.
