Intensive Outpatient Program - Adults
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a non-residential treatment program for individuals struggling with substance abuse issues and/or behavioral health issues (dual diagnosis). An IOP generally offers more comprehensive care compared to a typical outpatient program. Sessions are typically longer and cover a wider range of topics related to education, prevention, and tools for long-term success. Additionally, clients may receive referrals to external specialists like physicians and psychiatrists if appropriate.
This level of treatment is well-suited for individuals who require additional support beyond what standard outpatient care provides but are not experiencing a severe medical or psychological issue.
CAN's program offers 10 hours of group and individual counseling per week. Treatment typically lasts six to eight weeks, but can be longer and duration varies with individual needs and participation.
Our IOP groups meet for three hours each day, three days per week. Adult Group sessions are currently offered in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In addition, each participant must attend at least one individual or family session weekly. Individual and family services can be scheduled Monday - Thursday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm or Friday from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.
